The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Roorkee, in association with the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) Roorkee Chapter, organised the IIM Roorkee Materials Quiz 2026 on 22nd August 2026. Two teams of students from Classes XI and XII participated in this prestigious event. The quiz was an exciting and interactive experience, featuring screening, buzzer, rapid-fire, and metallurgy-based rounds. Students also visited the Department of Metallurgy and Materials, where they explored advanced instruments and gained insights into materials science and research. The students were awarded Certificates of Participation. The event provided them with a valuable opportunity to enhance their scientific knowledge and experience the world of materials science, technology, and research.
